Our resort is located on Eagle Lake and just inside the mouth of the Eagle River. From our weather-protected location you can experience the best Walleye, Muskie, Northern Pike and Smallmouth Bass fishing that Northwestern Ontario has to offer.
Trophy Angling:
Walleyes are found in excellent numbers with good eating sizes right up to huge trophy Walleye. Muskie are plentiful and can reach great sizes with a few over 50-inches caught and released by guests each year. Northern Pike are everywhere. Eagle Lake is a labyrinth of waterways, islands and weedy bays. It's the perfect structure and habitat for Pike to proliferate in great numbers and get big. Our guests are amazed at the frequency in which they are catching big Pike. Every rocky point and shoal is home to large hungry Smallmouth. Smallmouth Bass in Eagle Lake are known for their hard fight and their unusually large size. The fishing is equally fantastic at our fly-in outpost camps. We have fly-in outpost camps of Lynx Lake and Vaughn Lake, which is a remote bay of Lac Seul and has water access to Lac Seul and Cherry Lake. Both outpost camps have excellent fishing for Walleye, Northern Pike, and Smallmouth Bass with Vaughn Lake having access to Lac Seul for Muskie Fishing.
Big Game & Small Game Hunting:
In the fall we turn into the area's top hunting camp with outstanding hunting for Black Bear, Moose, Whitetail Deer, Waterfowl and Grouse. We have a large Black Bear Management area (BMA), which is the most productive around. Our hunting guests experience a bear hunt that dreams our made of because we only take a limited amount of hunters each fall and our BMA produces big Trophy Black Bears with some exceeding 400 pounds. Moose are everywhere. The amount of adult Moose tags we get every year varies so you need to contact us for availability. We are just south of Dryden, which is famous for being the best hotspot for Trophy Whitetail Deer in Canada. Every year bucks are harvested, which rival the world record Whitetail. The forest is stuffed with Ruffed Grouse with lots of paths and ATV trails to explore. Eagle Lake is also right in the center of the Mississippi flyway, which means Eagle Lake gets visited by millions of ducks and other waterfowl each year. Our Waterfowl hunting is outstanding and we do offer combination hunts with fishing.
Housekeeping & American Plan Accommodation:
Our lakeside housekeeping cottages are clean and comfortable with all the amenities that you need. Cabins range in size to accommodate groups of 2 to 10 people. You can also upgrade to American Plan and have delicious home cooked meals served to you in our main lodge, which has a sports bar, dining room and store. The top floor of our main lodge also has 5 modern suites.
Fly-in Outpost Cabins on Outpost Lakes:
We have two fly-in outpost camps, which are considerably farther north and deep into the remote Canadian wilderness. We have a three-cabin facility on Vaughn Lake and one cabin on Lynx Lake. Both lakes have outstanding fishing for Walleye, Northern Pike and Smallmouth Bass. From Vaughn Lake you have access to Lac Suel where you can hunt down Monster Muskie.
There are many other activities like swimming, snorkeling, hiking, ATVing, wildlife photography, birding and much more.
We will be open all winter and adding activities such as Ice Fishing and Wolf Hunting as well as offer warm accommodations for Snowmobilers, Cross Country Skiers and persons attending local winter carnivals.
